Chrysler Repair: Chrysler 2000 Window mechanisms/repair, 2000 chrysler lhs, chrysler lhs

Question
Hi there ~ I have a 2000 Chrysler LHS that has a driver's window problem.  It started out being off track, found that the metal clip located at the bottom of the regulator was broke.  We ordered the clip from the Chrysler house because I could not find them anywhere else.  Two came in the package.  Put the window back together and it worked well for about another 2 months and then the same clamp/clip broke again.  The glass window is fine, just off track.  My question is should I probably replace the entire regulator rather than just the clip?  I still have the extra clip but figured it would only break again if something else is wrong.  The clip is actually breaking and not just coming unglued.  Does the motor and everything I need come with a regulator if I just purchase that?  The regulator does appear like it bends forwards as it goes up because you can see the actual glass window trying to tilt inwards.  Would it be the window possibly instead of the regulator or maybe the regulator is damaged causing the curve?

Answer
Hi Lorrie,
The motor is sparate from the regulator. I would wonder if the issue might not be an adjustment of the position of the regulator with respect to the glass channels. There are some instructions on installing/adjusting the regulator that you might try first before replacing anything.
I can send you a page or so from the '04 manual that I have on CD, as attachements to an email I will send. But I need to know your email address. So send me a 'private' option follow-up question in which you state your email address. There are some instructions about adjusting the regulator which may improve the funstion of it and the clip. The other manual I have in hard copy is a '98 and it appears to be very similar to the '04 so what I have is probably applicable to your '00 model.
