Hi again Roland, thanks for your patience and perseverance. In reference to your reply posted at: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Chrysler-Repair-807/2011/7/86-lebaron-start-egr.htm
either we're talking about a different car or I'm just blind. The only thing I can see mounted on a 45 degree angle anywhere under the hood is what I labelled as number 2 in my previous picture and again in this new pic with the red dot. Perhaps it would help if I knew how big a diameter this EGR thing is? The red dot is on a component that is 3 inches approx. It might also help if I knew what a "turbocharger" is. Perhaps that is the "fuel injection" top hose and grey box? (I removed it in my first photo to see underneath, obviously back on here). When I removed that same hose and top pieces then rotated a little disc and poured fuel in, it starts and runs fine for about 6 or 7 seconds. I assume that means I'm getting a spark. I can also hear a slight suction sound just before turning the key. If I can scoop a OBD-I reader, can you describe where the socket in front of the "strut tower?" is, Again, remember I'm not a car guy. (in other words, I just guess at what you mean by "socket", "engine compartment" and "strut tower."
Thanks again.

Answer
Hi Glenn,
Referencing your picture, go to the upper left corner. That is the area to focus on to find the egr. Crouch down to about the level of the fender and look in to the space between the engine and the firewall from that rear right side of the car near the corner of the engine compartment. You will see the turbocharger there, a large cylindrically-shaped object attached to the rear side of the engine, and on its very end, closest to you, should be the egr valve.
