Chrysler Repair: SoF codes, trip odometer, smog test

Question
QUESTION: Instrument cluster  problems, SoF codes  E400.1, E100.1, E100.5, E100.6

What do these mean? Haven't found a reference sheet on the net.

ANSWER: u wont find any sheet for it because there is not one  I ahve no idea what they are  never seen them either    go to a shop and get the real codes.

QUESTION: These are the instrument cluster diagnostic codes that display in the Trip Odometer when the  Gauges supposedly reset. Normally  you hold in the trip odometer  reset button while turning off the engine, and  continue  holding about 15 seconds and the  diagnostic starts running. It will display  any Gauge error codes, then reset the gauges.

There are supposed to be several other resets and  diagnostics procedures, but I can not find references to them either. I know some are initiated by  pressing some A/C controls.

My car is in the shop, failing the  Smog test because the speedo isn't working, and  three days so far, no one can figure out why, The  Battery was disconnected, someone tried to steal my relays from the circuit breaker panel, and  nothing works right since.

Some people claim there is a factory defect in the soldering of the Inst Cluster circuit board where a red connector connects.  I have passed this on to my mechanic, but he still cannot get the computer to reset.

ANSWER: so what is the question u want answers beside what those fake codes are?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: They are not fake  codes. apparently E400.1 indicates that the  BCM failed to shut down properly, and  E100.1 means there is a loop-back problem. What the others mean I haven't found out yet, but for  your future information they are error coded in the PCI loop in Chassis Electrical.

You are a Chrysler Mechanic?

Apparently there are two possibilities, which are common, that the  BCM needs to be re-flashed,  and that a known defect exists in the instrument  cluster connector pins, factory cold solder joints. My mechanic is  trying to re-solder the pins first, and if that is unsuccessful will have the BCM re-flashed.

Answer
With all of your talking U still have not even told me what the prob with the van is  and even what kinda van it is to start with. Chrysler does not and will not list codes that u have described because they would be generic and not any help what so ever to any Chrysler mechanic with a DRB scan tool. I have access to Chrysler info only  nothing like what codes u have given me will help what so ever in finding a solution to what ever the prob is U are having.
