Chrysler Repair: Headlight switch/flasher problem: 99 T & C, fuse block, chrysler town

Question
QUESTION: When the light switch is off, there is a turning on/off  on/off that happens to the tail, head & park lights. IF the light switch is turned ON, the blinking does not occur. Also, if I unplug the dimmer portion of the switch, there does seem to be a difference in whether or not the switching on/off  on/off is as certain and the rate of blinking.

ANSWER: Hi Rich,
I need to know the year/make/model/body style of the vehicle.

Answer
Hi Rich,
I don't recommend 'throwing parts' at a problem that is complex (or I don't understand) but I am tempted to say the combination flasher/daytime running lamp module is malfunctioning. If when you say "Also, if I unplug the dimmer portion of the switch..." you mean that you are unplugging the turn sign/dimmer/hazard switch's plug, then that should remove that item as the source of the problem (which I had suspected, otherwise). The module is located in the junction block (fuse block) located under the dash (remove under dash pad and knee blocker to access that box) where you will find it is the only unusually-shaped relay-like item, center/right. The only thing that is strange is that the headlamps are involved in the flashing behavior. Is that also true once you unplug the multi-function switch?
I don't know how mucn the module costs but you may be able to find it at a wrecking yard (though you will want to be sure the part number is identical). Alternatively, I can xerox copy and mail the pages to you that will show you how to test the headlamp and multifunction function switch position continuities, and also the wiring diagrams that apply so you could verify those.  It cost me 10 cents per side plus the stamp which you can return to me after you get all the pages.
But because the combo flasher/drl is clearly involved but doesn't seem to be doing anything exactly correctly, I suspect it.
