Chrysler Repair: 2002 pt cruiser bad idle and stalling, primary coil, code numbers

the car will start fine and idle for a minute or 2 fine then you put it in gear and it shakes and idles very bad spitting and shaking , then dies. replaced the fuel filter and pump, still does the same  thing, code says speed input and primary coil b.  please help cant get it to go a few feet.  thank you for your time in this matter.

Hi Denise,
I would be helped to know the actual code numbers of the faults. You can do that by turning the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on", doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window to see the mileage reading change to show the 4-digit code numbers.
Also, tell me which engine you have (L) and if there is some sort of history to the problem such as did it come on slowly, or all of a sudden? Which kind of transmission do you have? If manual does it do this when you put in the clutch? If automatic, does it do the same whether, when you are in neutral you then put it in reverse or in drive? I need to understand whether the transmission might be involved in the problem or is it just the engine?
