Question
1988 chrysler newyorker 3.0 with 3sp trans. when below quarter tank of gas, when i turn sharp left the car tends to stall or die. starts right up again. any ideals????

Answer
Hi Wayne,
I haven't heard of that symptom. It may be that the fuel supply situation is compromised. I would suggest that you check the fuel pressure when operating the engine and consider changing the fuel filter which is in the fuel line proper, if that hasn't been done since new or in the past 10 years. You could also try a fault code readout using the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the check engine light, which remains 'on', to see it begin to flash, puase, flash, etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then repeat to assure an accurate set of counts. Then let me know what you saw.
