Chrysler Repair: Wiring issues, cigar lighters, instrument panel

I have a 1999 Sebring JX. Something happened with the lighter and the #8 fuse keeps blowing. Can I pull out the lighter and bypass it? #8 also controls the horn which is why I want to try.

Answer
You can disconnect the cigar lighters power feed to eliminate from the circuit. You'll have to gain access to the connector on the back of it to do so though. To get to the connector you'll need remove a good portion of the instrument panel, heater controls and center console.
