Chrysler Repair: 2007 Chrysler Sebring Battery, 2007 chrysler sebring, last ditch effort

Question
Already went thru an alternator on this post-warranty lemon. Now after needing a few jumps early in the morning, I guess the battery is going and that's fine.

As a last ditch effort to buy some time, a friend gave me a dual amp battery charger to lock on it overnight. I have it powered up and it's reading 2 amps on the meter. How long should I keep the charge on it?

Also, if this seems to give some new life to the battery, how much time do you think it could buy me before having to just bite the bullet and buying a new one?

Thanks for your time! :)

Answer
If you're charging the battery on the 2 AMP setting then it isn't a problem to let the charger run overnight, provided you're charging an at least partially discharged battery. The deeper problem is why are you needing to charge the battery on a regular basis. Is the current battery failing, is there a problem with the charging system or is there an Ignition Off Draw killing the battery. Keep me advised with further concerns.
