Chrysler Repair: 02 Chrysler Neon with major electrical problems, chrysler neon, power locks

Question
I have a 2002 Chrysler Neon that has quite a few electrical problems. I bought it used with power locks, windows and trunk. About a year ago while driving it the horn started to honk, the doors were locking and unlocking and the trunk would pop, all by themselves and all at the same time. I was told that it was probably a silent alarm and it was likely because the batteries in the remotes were dead. I replaced the batteries but it didn't stop anything excpet that it made the remote not work at all. Since then the button for the trunk access from inside the car has also stopped working, meaning that I have no access to my trunk except from the back folding back seats. I have since unplugged the fuse for the remote and everything seemed to stopped, the power locks don't work but they don't lock and unlock on thier own, the horn works when I want it to but doesn;t go off by itself, and the trunk doesn't open anymore. however a clicking noise would constantly be coming from the dash and it was in the same rythme that my doors would lock and unlock. My dad unplugged the fuse for my alarm and that clicking noise stopped but since then my interior light has been blinking along with my signal lights and I have just recently noticed that when I turn on either signal light my front signals both come on (hazzards), but the back ones work like normal. Any advice?

Answer
It sounds like you have a malfunctioning aftermarket (NON MOPAR) security system. You can do one of two things, either totally remove the system from the car or contact the company that manufactures the system for advise. As far as not being able to get into your trunk, unless the car has been modified in some way you should be able to open the trunk with a key if the lock cylinder is present and functional.
