Chrysler Repair: 96 Sebring 2.5 V6: codes 0715/0731/0300, shaft speed, freeze data

Question
Hi Roland.
You may recall helping me with docs to rebuild engine.
Had some unhappy adventures since, including bad fuel-pump that took months to finally ID - but I digress...
Current issue: Last couple of times I drove off with engine cold, it seemed to not want to shift out of 1st or 2nd (not sure) gear. Come to a stop, shift to park/back to drive and all is fine thereafter.
Finally gave code, info as follows:

P0731 - "gear 1 incorrect ratio" Mod $41
P0715 - ":Turbine/Input shaft speed sensor A circuit" Mod $41

P0300 - "multiple cylinder misfire" Mod $40- this is Only one with "freeze data"
Eng speed 1888
Calc load(%) 7.5
MAP ("HG) 15.4
Coolant(F) 181
ST FTRM1(%) -4.7
LT FTRM1(%) 7.0
VEH SPEED (MPH) 47
FUEL SYS 1 CLSD
FUEL SYS 2 N/A

Input/advice greatly appreciated!

Thanks, as always!

Answer
HI DD,
The 0715 and 0731 are consistent with their being an inaccurate input speed sensor on the trans.  So find it to be located about midway up on the side of the trans that faces the front of the vehicle, near the bell housing. It has a plug with a lift tab, then unscrew it and screw in a replacement. Torque to about the same as a spark plug.
I don't know what to make of the 0300 code and data. There is a laundry list of causes for multiply misfires. How is the rebuilt engine running? Try disconnecting the battery for a minute to erase all the codes (except a 1684) and then see whether any of the codes return. We'll go from there.
