on a 2001 chrisler seabring, how do you remove the front axles from the transmision

Please explain further where in the process your currently are at, and what is the reason for removing the drive shafts (which is the name for the 'axles'). Have you started to take off the steering knuckles, or nothing done so far? Also, this a sedan/convertible/ or 2-door coupe body style?
