Chrysler Repair: 1997 Concorde: no starter motor, battery cables, starter relay

Question
My son has a 97 concorde. The car will not start. The battery tested good, battery cables are good. He gets headlights, dash lights, etc. but nothing happens when he turns the key. Bad ignition switch? If so, what should that type of replacement cost at a repair shop?

Answer
Hi vincet,
Try listening for the click of the starter relay located in the power box under the hood when a helper tries the start position. If it doesn't click try switching the relay with another one of the same part number to see is the relay might be defective. Also try moving the shift lever slightly off-center in case the PN safety interlock is slightly out of adjustment. If the relay clicks, then check the yellow wire at the starter motor to see if it gets 12V on it when the key is moved to the start position. Also, check fuse G in the power box in the engine compartment (40 amp).
Let me know the results.
