Chrysler Repair: 95 grand caravan heater core replacement, heater core replacement, core leak

Question
I flushed the heater core on this car as was no heat..now plenty of heat but also a leak coming from the bottom of the undercarriage......I suspect a blown heater core.......if so, is there an easier way of replacing rather than removing all dash with the AC connections as well?

Answer
Hi Ron,
The heater core cannot be changed without removing the HVAC module from the cabin. Are you getting coolant on the floor mats, which would be where I would believe you would first see a heater core leak. If not, then I would check the hose connections from the engine compartment side of the firewall. Other than that, if the core leak were small you might be able to seal it by a treatment of Bar's Leak cooling system sealer.
