I have a 99 intrepid in past six months i had waterpump replaced fans replaced core flushed and recently new radiator I still smell antifreeze outside the car yet cant see any leaks also at first when I stop or idell heat turns cold now since new radiator it worked great for about a week now no heat at all . suggestions

Answer
Hi Michael,
The first step is to find the source of the antifreeze odor as that indicates a leak which will cause a drop in the coolant level of the cooling system and that in turn causes a possible loss of flow to the heater core in the cabin and thus no heat. I assume that you are noticing that the level of coolant in the overflow bottle is dropping or has disappeared entirely which indicates that there is a leak. If you don't smell it in the cabin and there is no sign of wetness on the floor mats under the dash then the heater core is not the source of the leak.
If you don't see any external leaks in  and under the engine compartment then the other possibilities are that coolant is getting inside the engine and into the oil which would cause the oil to appear milky/frothy or that there is a noticeable excess of white smoke coming from the tail pipe when you first start the engine from cold and if you allow some of that smoke to condense on the skin of your hand it smells of antifreeze which indicated a leak of coolant into a combustion chamber inside the engine from which it is expelled along with the engine exhaust.
So take a look at those two possible places for the anti-freeze to be going and get back to me.
Also look over all the hoses in the engine compartment to be certain that none are leaking.
When you follow-up let me know which size (L) engine you have.
