Chrysler Repair: transmission?, transmission control module, cv joints

Question
QUESTION: accelerating this morning voyagr made a pop and came to a stop..fluid/filtr changd 15k miles ago..replaced mount at radiatr yestrday...covrd wiring harnesses below battery...a little  latr got car to move but when turning it made{maybe ratcheting sound/grinding]...engine starts and runs fine.starvd for fluid?solenoid problm?

ANSWER: Hi Mike,
I wonder because you say the noise is when you are turning if it might be one of the outer cv joints has run dry and is not broken/injured. Take a look at the outer boots and if torn that would be a good possibility. Check trans for fluid, see if it has any trouble codes stored. Tell me the engine/year.

QUESTION: sorry for the delay..havnt had much time to spend.sounds like i've got noise from both joints;but i think it is being transmittd from the trans ..because ive got glittr in the pan.and some brass colored fragments.so i think this trane is toast. WHY? IT HAS 50 k miles on it,fluid has been changed regularly...could the coolr be stoppd up ?its less than 2 yrs old...guess i should take the return line off and ck flow..how much pressure should there be?

ANSWER: Hi Mike,
I would suspect 115-145 psi would be the range but I can't be certain. The debris in the pans is not a good sign, typically suggests need for a rebuild. Any warranty expressed or implied on the last rebuild?

QUESTION: no warranty...just wondered why ..this will be the 4TH TRANS

Thank you Roland

Answer
You might get an idea as to why if you can get a fault code from the memory of the transmission control module. If you can borrow a code reader and get it that let me know. Or if it will move far enough to get to an Autozone parts store they will often do a free code readout.
