what and where is the powertran control module

Hi Adrain,
The PCM is the computer that controls the operation of the engine based on inputs from various sensors and programs and output controls. It is located on the driver side inner fender near the front of the engine comparment and adjacent the the duct which routes air to the engine intake. It has a 60-pin plug held in place by a single screw.
