Chrysler Repair: flashing headlights: Dodge Durango 98, dodge durango, truck manuals

I have a '98 Dodge Durango the headlights start flashing after about 3 minutes of run time with the headlight switch turned off they flash 3 times and then stop and intermittently do it again.

Hi Ray,
I don't have truck manuals so I can't be sure. But it sounds like it is related to the anti-theft system. I wonder if one of the doors may not be secured tightly against the door frame and is spontaneously falsely signally that it is ajar. The same switch is used by the security system. So try moving the door strikers mounted in the frame in-board a bit and see if that stops it. If I find another explanation I will let you know.
