Chrysler Repair: Solenoid Pack -- 1996 Dodge Stratus, solenoid pack, dodge stratus

Question
How do I get the Solenoid Pack out of my 1996 Dodge Stratus Transmission? Do I remove the bottom oil pan? What are the steps to take after that?

Much thnaks,
Garrett

Answer
Hi Garrett,
No, the pack is mounted outside the transmission on the side that faces the front of the vehicle. You simply begin by removing the speed sensor that sits just above the upper edge in the middle, then remove the screws that attach the sound cover and the cover. Then you will find three vertical bolts spaced evenly that when removed will allow the pack to be lifted off of its mounting pad. There is a mounting plate with a gasket on either side that sits below the pack. Install is the reverse.
