Chrysler Repair: 2.7L with code 0113 and 0123, sensor wires, pcm

Question
Hi Roland, it's Clay. I deleted my email to reply back to you. I'm checking
of see if the tps or iat are shorted out or if the grounds are open. Will the
test be accurate if the PCM is out of the vehicle? I'm thinking the PCM is
the problem and have it removed. But want to be sure before I order one.
Is there a way to test the PCM?

Answer
Hi Clay,
You can check to see if the wires are shorted together and whether they are continuous from the plug at the sensors and the pins at the plugs of the pcm. You won't be able to tell if there might be a short between one of the sensor wires and another wire on the pcm harness with it unplugged, however.
The tps wiring is orange/dark blue to pin 35, black/light blue to pin 43, violet/white to pin 61. The Iat is black/light blue to 43 and black/red to pin 37. So check the continuities and for inter-wire shorting. The PCM if bad should show a fault code 0600,0601,1697, or 1698. When the plugs are in at the pcm only the violet/white should show 5V, the rest should be 0V (ground) or very low voltages.
