Chrysler Repair: blend door actuator: 99 300m, coolant temperature sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor

Question
1999 chrysler 300m heater not blowing hot air. Code 23. Can you please email me a diagram of location of the blend door actuator? Also of the engine coolant temperature sensor? thank you so much

Answer
Yes. Use a 'private' follow-up question to tell me your email address.

I am the one that had the no heat problem with the 99 chrysler 300m. I tried to put this message on your site, but would not let me, unless you are also Kevin? Anyway, had code 23 come up. Replaced actuator to blend door, and t-stat..blend door was not broken. You maintained that it had to have something to do with the blend door. Well, you were right! I ended up taking to a chrysler dealer and it was that the doors needed calibrated. One mechanic said i need a new heater core, as a flush would nt help. Of course labor to put in over 500.oo! I kw never to take car to him. Thank you so very much for your help. You are amazing! Merry Xmas to you and your family. Rebecca Gilbert

Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for that information. I learned from what you shared. I was unaware of the calibration procedure for the car (but now I do see it in the '04 manual, it is not in my '98 manual). That gives the instruction as:
With the engine running, turn on the control panel. Set the control to full cold for two minutes, then set it on full hot for 5 minutes. Please let me know if that is not approximately what the dealer did.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday time.
