Chrysler Repair: trans wont shift out of 2nd gear, calibration tests, chrysler voyager

Question
QUESTION: hi regarding the earlier question , the buttons on the ac and rear window washer etc all lights is flashing , also headlight stuck on even when socket is switched off. my car is chrysler voyager 98 thnx

ANSWER: Sometime in the recent past a self-diagnosis of the HVAC system was done and some aspect was not correct. The section of the manual that covers this aspect runs around 8 pages and is quite detailed and difficult to deal with by emails.
Starting the tests is fairly straight forward, but following up on any faults requires further action/interprestation of the way the lights are flashing at the conclusion of the first test. All the possibilities cover about 6+ pages in the manual.
But let us give it a try. The engine must be running. Set the blower on HIGH, set mode to the PANEL position, open all AC outlets, Set temperature slide pot(s) to COLD, Depress WASH and REAR WIPER simultaneously for 5 seconds (Until all LED's light). The LED's will stay on for 5 seconds. Calibration tests are running when the rear wiper and intermittent are alternatively flashing. Cooldown test is running when the A/C and recirc lights are flashing.
Acceptable result is when the rear wiper only LED is flashing.
Push rear wiper button to exit.
Interpretation of codes (presumably stored if you don't get the above result) is an involved process.
So see whether your unit seems to behave according to what I have described, and please let me know.

On the headlight, there are two relays in the power box in the engine compartment that turn on either the high beams or the low beams. These are the fourth and fifth relay from the front on the right side of the box. Try removing the relays one at a time to see which one is 'on'. Then try putting the other relay in place of that one. If the lights no longer stay on, then that relay you substituted for is stuck in the on position and needs to be replaced. If both relays in the same on socket cause the lights to remain on, then there is a problem in the headlamp switch which is giving a false request to the body computer to turn the relay on.

SRY FOR 2 MANY QUESTIONS THNX

Answer
Hi Musa,
When the trans only will run in 2nd gear and the gear lights have squares around them, that means that the transmission is misbehaving and so the transmission computer puts it into a condition called 'limp-in mode' which is designed to prevent any damage beyond the current problem. You need to get a fault code readout via the socket under the dash by the steering column. Maybe a parts store will do that for free, or an independent garage will do it for less than a dealer. Ask for the 4-digit fault code numbers, what is the name/meaning of them. Then write back and tell me what the fault code numbers are and what you found out and we'll go from there to try and solve the transmission problem.
I don't understand why the parking brake would be related to the headlamp, but if you can work around that problem, fine.
