Hi Chester,
Use jump cables to attach + post of recipient car to + post of donor car battery. Then - post of donor car battery to engine head bolt or similar metal object in the engine compartment of the recipient of the charge car. Then start the donor car engine and rev it a bit and hold it there while the recipient car is attempted to be started. If it works, then remove the jump cables in the reverse order of which they were applied. If the battery is not readily accessible in either car then look for the 'remote' ground point, usually on the strut tower, and use that instead of the - post of the battery to do your attaching. The + connections can also be made at the fat wire of the starter motor proper, at either/both cars.
