Chrysler Repair: Chrysler voyager starting problems: clicking, chrysler voyager, starter solenoid

Question
my chrysler voyager le 1998 petrol 2.0 litre wont start when i
turn the ignition all i get is a fast clicking noise the
battery is good can you please help?

Answer
Hi Paul,
A fast clicking sound usually means the voltage on the item that is clicking (the starter relay or the starter solenoid) is marginal in that it it too low to keep the switch closed. So try charging the battery, and write me back and tell me if the clicking is soft/ coming from a relay in the power box or loud/from the starter motor proper. Do the lights dim while the clicking is going on? That would corroborate that the battery is weak.
