Chrysler Repair: 91 LeBaron Conv.: Traveler, lighting level, pink wire

EVIC Connection plug Hi Roland -
to follow up from earlier - I got the unit out. it has 6 wires coming out of the plug. Attached is a photo.  Thanks again.

Hi Jeff,
What you have there is a Traveler, not an EVIC.
That was what through me off. The power for the unit comes on the pink wire from fuse 26 which is there all the time, and on the dark blue/white wire which comes from fuse 14 when the ignition is in the run position or start position. The orange wire gives the variable lighting level when you have the headlamps 'on'. The black/light green is a ground wire to a ground behind the dash. The white/black and violet/brown are the digital data wires. So check out the power carrying wires and the ground and see if you find anything wrong.
