Chrysler Repair: 2003 Chrysler Concorde LXI 3.5L stuck in L/R, chrysler concorde lxi, chrysler concorde

Question
Hope you can help because no one else can.
When I drive my concorde and she shifts into 3rd or 4th gear,no problem...then as I slow down for a stop,at around 40kmh,she bucks at the front end and her MIL comes on.
Took her to a tranny shop, they checked the code(1776),car stuck in L/R,and said they couldn't say for sure, might as well rebuild her.
So,after taking my keys back I went the next day to a Chrysler dealer. They scanned the same code, and suggested the valve body neede to be replaced.Since I had already seen many people in forums with this problem,I said o.k. do it.Cost for the part over  600.00
Didn't fix it.They adjusted the shift cable...no good.
They replaced the valve body again and adjusted the shift cable...no good.
They checked the wire harness leading to the tcm...looked o.k.no damage wires. They keep getting the same code 1776.They replaced the shift cable(told me it was in poor condition anyway and might cause the issue).no good
They have now replaced the valve body a third time because they can't imagine, aside from the valve, the wiring,or the shift cable what it could be.
After all this was done, she does shift smoother(hard before)and seems better, but still goes into limp mode.
Her spedometer is reading normally, she only acts up after driving for 20 minutes or so and goes out of limp when you shut her down and restart her. This only happens when you go into 3rd gear or higher.Keep her in second,no problem.
They have flashed her tcm as well of course. No problem with debris or bad fluid in the pan.
Could it be the relay for the tcm?
Can I switch the tcm relay with the starter relay as a test to see if she works then? Can I do it with the battery connected and car running etc.?Someone mentioned doing this on a 300M forum and it fixed their problem.
Any ideas or comment would be extremely appreciated.

Answer
Hi Tom,
The persistence of the 1776 has to be taken seriously so I checked the troubleshoot manual.
Do try changing out the relay if it has the same part number, and do that with the battery connected but not running. The solenoid pack is presumably not the issue. The wires between the solenoid pack and the tcm should be verified to not be open, shorted to ground or shorted to voltage, particularly checking the yellow/tan between pin 2 at the pack and pin 50 at the tcm as that is the l/r sense wire. Other than that the tcm is the last item on the list of possibilities.
Gest of luck.
Roland
