Chrysler Repair: brake calipers wont release, plymouth voyager, brake calipers

Question
Hi, I've just got my calipers replaced. The one on the front pass. side keeps sticking i've tried everything and cannot figure out why that is please help! The car is a 1991 plymouth voyager

Answer
Hi Cleo,
I have a couple of possibilities:
The rubber hose that connects the caliper to the metal brake line on the chassis nearby may be rotted inside and that flakiness can cause an inability of the brake fluid to flow back out of the caliper when you release the brake pedal. It is likely if this is an original brake hose. The shop that did the caliper should try replacing that without labor cost and only charge for the hose which should be around $10.
Another is that the pin(s) on which the caliper slides from side to side may be rough so that the caliper itself won't slide back from the rotor when you release the pedal. Again, they should have checked that so they should only charge for the pins, which are under $10.
So go back and ask them to check the pins and replace the hose.
