Chrysler Repair: 99 LHS - Fuel Rail Removal, upper intake manifold, negative battery cable

Question
QUESTION: Hi Roland, I have a crack in my upper intake manifold  where my ECT sensor is trying to install the ECT sensor. Now I am trying to remove it, but I cant seem to get the fuel rail out, it just wont budge with the injectors after removing all that is necessary to get to it. Is there an easier way or something? Please Help!!! It's a 3.5L

ANSWER: The removal steps are:
release fuel pressure
disconnect negative battery cable
remove intake manifold plenum/remove intake manifold plenum mounting bolts/lift plenum off engine. cover manifold to keep dirt out
disconnect quick release fuel supply fittings at fuel supply at the rear of the fuel rail
label the injectors
remove bolts on both sides of the fuel rail
lift rail straight up off the cylinder head
remove clips from injectors/ remove injectors

So go through this list and see if there is something you missed

QUESTION: Thank you for replying. I did all of the above. Its like the injectors are stuck. They are moving around in the holes but the rail is just not coming up I just dont get it.

ANSWER: Could the O-rings be sticking in the manifold holes due to the heating they are subjected to, but nonetheless loose between the O- ring and the injector itself? When they are to be installed they are supposed to be coated with a bit of oil, so I can imagine those being adhered to the hole which surrounds them.

QUESTION: Would you suggest that I remove the rail from the injectors, then try to remove the injectors separately? If I do this do I have to put the injectors back in their original spot when re-installing? Should I replace seals & o-rings as well?

Answer
Hi Marvin,
Yes it is a good idea to put the injector back in the same cylinder. Getting back to the original motivation, why is that you are taking off the rail? If there is no way except to remove the rail from the injectors then I guess that is what needs to be done. The problem is to not flex the rail for fear of breaking it, and that is an expensive part. I haven't faced this problem so may not be the person to be asking about this.
