QuestionQUESTION: Hi I need to know where the check balls go in the valve body. My husband took it apart and the 3 of the 4 balls fell out. Now the car will die in any other gear besides reverse. We are thinking he must have put them in the wrong place. Please help, Thanks!

I have a manual that shows the locations. I can either xerox and postal mail you it, or I also have it on CD and can try to copy that and send it by email. Let me know an email address or postal address if you still need this info.

QUESTION: Thank you, however we did find a manual which confirmed the question. I do have one other question though, one of the check balls are missing and we are having trouble locating a place we can get this from. Do you know where we culd find a check ball for purchase?
AnswerDid you try a dealer parts counter? If not, then a good hardware store might have a ball of the same diameter as the other three which you could use a sample as I suspect they are identical in size.
Any place that sells ball bearings is likely to have the one you need. Finally, an independent transmission shop might have one.
