Chrysler Repair: code 1495/LDP: 99 LH, powertrain control module, power steering pump

Question
QUESTION: concorde 99 3.2 lxi P1495 Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circuit. i am sure you have answered this before. i just not understanding the solution very well. first does it have anything to do with power steering pump. second. are there any vacuum line involve to the leak detection solinoid on this model. third. what is the most likely cause of this pump solinoid going out. i try reseting the battery on the car see if it goes away and come right back very quick withing second of engine start. and only when engine is running.

ANSWER: Hi Miguel,
It has nothing to do with the power steering system. There are no vacuum hoses involved.
It could be due to the fuse that powers the pump (#21-10 amp in the fuse box behind the left end cap of the dash, the wiring harness to the pump is damaged, the leak detection pump itself doesn't work, or the powertrain control module could be faulty.
You can check the fuse to start.
Then check the wiring: the pump is mounted on the top of the gas tank on the front driver-side corner of the tank. If you can find a 4-pin plug that has 3 wires: light green/black, white/dark green, orange wires, that is the plug to the LDP. The first wire (pin2) will have 12v showing in the run position of the ignition switch that comes via fuse 21.
Then disconnect the plug at the pcm that has the pins 41-80. You should find that the second wire (pin3) should be connected to pin 77 of the pcm, and the third wire (pin4) connected to pin 72 of the pcm plug.  You could verify also that those wires are not shorted to ground when the plugs are disconnected at both ends, from the pcm and the LDP. If all that passes, then you will need to drop the tank and inspect its hoses and if found to be alright then change the Leak Detection Pump, in all likelihood. Let me know if you need to do that.

QUESTION: it was not the fuse 21. that is for the radiator fan. and it was good. is the right? i guess the next step is to check the cable.

Answer
Hi Miguel,
Yes, that fuse has multi-purposes (LDP,fans and a/c compressor relays, air bag module). So the cable would be the next step where you should find 12V on the pin 2 coming from the fuse, and then check the other 2 wires for continuity to pcm/not being shorted to ground.
