Question
How do I replace a blown dash airbag in the basic sebring?

Answer
REMOVAL

 
1. Open hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

WARNING:  Wait two minutes for the system reserve capacitor to discharge before servicing any airbag components. Failure to do this may result in serious or fatal injury.  


3. Remove the glove box (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/GLOVE BOX, Instrument Panel - Removal) .
4. Remove two fasteners (2) retaining PAB to instrument panel assembly inside glove box opening.
5. Disconnect the two PAB squib connectors (1).



 
6. Remove instrument panel top pad from instrument panel (Refer to 23 - Body/Instrument Panel/PAD, Instrument Panel - Removal) .
7. Pry out on the tabs or loops (2) on the one side of the PAB (3) and slightly lift one side of airbag out of top pad (1). Push down and inward on the other side of the PAB to unlatch the other side five hooks.
