Chrysler Repair: 01 3.8L missing, control wires, autozone

rough idle hesitation and missing from idle to 3000 rpms no codes present new plugs new egr valve another computer had it flashed 60#s fuel pressure 120#compression in all cylinders #4 #5 plugs are black from fouling van will do allspeeds after 3000rpms okay also checked for vaccum leaks none found van has 127,000 miles on it wouldnt think timeing chain but possable any help would be appriciated

Hi Jay,
It is unusual to not have an 0300 code if you have missing that is noticeable. So keep checking for fault codes which might be available by the ignition key (on-off-on-off-on and leave on, in 5 seconds or less) and odometer window readout. Otherwise free readout at Autozone.
It is possible that the injectors on the #4 and #5 cylinders are leaking based on your observation of fouling so you might want to replace those, or at least check their control wires for possible shorting to ground (brown/tan is connected to pin 16, brown/orange to pin 15 of the pcm plug, respectively).
