Chrysler Repair: P0340 CODE, camshaft sensor, camshaft position sensor

Question
I had my 03 Chrysler Sebring sedan checked due to MIL/CEL was on. It had the code P0340. It's referring to CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR A CIRCUIT (BANK 1 OR SINGLE SENSOR).  Assuming the camshaft position sensor is ok, what other parts could possibly lead to this error code?  Things observed are 1) car jerks upon reaching 45 km/hr during deceleration only 2) when starting the car, sometimes it starts on the 3rd attempt.

Answer
Hi Romulo,
Why do you assume the camshaft sensor is OK? Did you replace it? You could check the wiring but I need to know which engine you have to tell you the pin numbers at the PCM. The symptoms you describe are consistent with  the camshaft sensor being bad, or its wiring.
