Chrysler Repair: 2000 Dodge Stratus SE - Shift Solenoid Location, solenoid pack, autozone

Car is running in limp mode (2nd gear only) - Going to attempt DIY shift solenoid - Cannot find anything on the net as to the specific location of the shift solenoid - Can you please guide me in the right direction.

Also in my previous experience with these shift solenoids there have been more than one. IS that the case here ? If so how many are there and how do I pinpoint which one needs replaced.

Hi Aaron,
You would want to get a fault code readout, for free at an Autozone parts store or for under$40 at an independent garage. That will confirm and also point to which part of the solenoid pack is at fault. Let me know the 4-digit fault code number and we'll go from there. Check my answer log for details about changing out the solenoid pack, a question that I answered yesterday 5/23.
