Chrysler Repair: 300m w/ Broken Hood Release Cable, chrysler 300m, release cable

I have a Chrysler 300m with a broken hood release cable.  We have tried everything to get it open and have had no luck.  Any suggestiosn would be very helpful.

Hi D,
The latch can always be released by getting under the front of the car and with the aid of a flashlight looking up to locate the latch mechanism that is operated by the broken cable. It will be behind the bumper fascia and in front of the radiator.  The cable is normally attached to a lever arm that sticks out of the latch mechanism, usually foward forward the latch. That latch can be released by hand (or a tool) when you reach up and push it toward the driver side of the vehicle. I haven't tried it myself, but have a look. If you can't picture the situation, look for another owner of a similar LH body car an inquire if you could look at how their latch is released. That will give you a good idea of how to reach yours from underneath.
