Chrysler Repair: 2000 Chrysler LHS wont start, camshaft position sensor, 2000 chrysler lhs

Question
Hi,
I have a 2000 Chrysler LHS that won't start.  I have found that the ASD relay will come on for a second when I turn the key on and then go back off.  I have checked the camshaft position sensor and the crankshaft position sensors and they are both giving a signal.  As I cranked the engine over by hand to check them the ASD would go on and off but never stay on.  It also turns pretty easy with a long handled ratchet (don't know how hard it should turn over).  I can't say that the sensors are working properly but I am getting a signal from both.

Answer
Hi Steve,
If you are getting pulsing (5 to 0.3V) from the sensors when you turn it by hand then let's assume they are not the problem. The "turns pretty easy" observation may indicate that one of the timing belts has slipped so you might want to consider looking into whether those are lined up. If you aren't sure, tell me which engine you have and I can tell you what you should see. Have you tried to get any fault codes using the ignition key?:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window to see if the mileage changes to instead show 4-digit number beginning with a P. Let me know the results if you get codes. Do you hear the fuel pump run while the ASD is closed?; you should.
The ASD is functioning properly; it only stays closed if it gets an uninterrupted set of signals from the sensors and hand cranking won't provide that so thus it shut down, etc.

Sorry for the delay, things came up that I couldn't avoid. Please 'rate' my answser, nonetheless. Thanks.
