Chrysler Repair: 2.7L intake/exhaust cam timing, exhaust stroke, postal mail

Question
On a 2002 2.7 how do you aline intake and exahust cams?"

Answer
Hi Doug,
To verify the timing set the engine at TDC of cylinder #1 exhaust stroke (both types of valves for that cylinder open). At that point the timing marks on both intake cams should be at 90 degress to the cylinder head cover sealing surface AND if you count the pins in the chain between the timing mark on the intake and the mark on the exhaust there should be 12 pins. Setting up the timing is a more complicated process that is best shared if I copy the pages from the manual and postal mail them to you tomorrow.
