Our car started doing crazy things like the dash/instrument cluster all the lights on it would light up and go off speedo and tach drop to zero the trunk and door locks lock and unlock. The wipers wont turn off when you turn the key off.I unhooked the neg batt cable to see if it would reset the computer but it didnt work.We stopped at Kroger I shut the car off and tried to restart it would run a couple seconds and shut off. I unhooked the neg batt cable while we were in the store. It started when we came out and got it home. I guessing  its because we got alot of snow and something in the electrical is getting wet and shorted.Any suggestions?

Hi Dennis,
I would take a look at fuses 1,7,14 and 19 in the box behind the left-hand end cap of the dash to see if one of them might have a subtle crack in its internal wire that is causing an intermittent function. The 'no park' is probably an issue with a small switch in the wipe motor that is not getting a good connection to the body control module or to ground. The wire from pin 4 at the motor (tan/red) is attached to pin 3 of the white plug of the body computer (back side of the fuse box under the dash) and it should either be grounded or ungrounded (floating compared to ground) as the wiper is operated or shut off.

PS: It could be that water is leaking in around the lower left corner of the windshield and dripping down on the body computer plugs. You could try spraying the 4 plugs/sockets with circuit board cleaner which will evaporate such moisture which could be causing aa short circuit.
