Chrysler Repair: Radiator or Cooling Fan Keeps Running, hi shan, chrysler sebring

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2005 Chrysler Sebring Sedan 2.7 liter. When I turn off the car I can hear the fan still running..it turns off after about 5 mins..then starts to run again, eventually draining the battery. We replaced the high & low relay. We also pulled the #23 and #12 fuses and it still continues to run. What could the problem be? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great day!

ANSWER: Hi Shan,
If you removed fuse #12 in the box under the hood that would have to kill the power to the radiator fans, even if the relays were 'closed'. Maybe instead you are hearing the blower for the heater/ac that is in the cabin, under the dash? If that is the case, then I would suspect that the ignition switch section that is only supposed to be connected when the key is in the 'run' position is still closed when you have the key off. Try the power windows: they shouldn't work either, but if they do, then that is the problem.
You can remove fuse #1 in the fuse box in the dash (open the driver's door and remove end cap of dash for access to fuses) which will cut the power to the blower motor. You might also try turning off the blower control at the center panel of the dash and see if that stops the blower (and then you wouldn't have to pull the fuse, except that there is an auxiliary way for the body computer to turn on the blower which I believe is related to when you choose the 'defrost' mode, and that will unfortunately bypass the blower motor switch if that circuit were somehow being activated by the body computer when it shouldn't be, so check that you haven't set it for 'defrost').
But the bottom line is, why is fuse #1 getting power when the key is off? It can only be the ignition switch or a short of voltage to fuse #1 somehow that allows the blower to run under ignition 'off' conditions.
Please let me know what you learn, as this is a new one.

QUESTION: We started up the car...removed fuse #1 in the fuse box (in the dash). We then turned off the car and we could still hear a fan.

Answer
Hi Shan,
Did you try to remove fuse #12 from the box under the hood?  If you didn't try that, then do so now. Did you look under the hood to verify a radiator fan was running visually? Try to find exactly what is running by observation/touch/location.
