Answer
FUEL FILTER
The fuel filter mounts to the frame rail in front of the fuel tank Fuel Filter Throttle Position Sensor The inlet and outlet ends of the filter are marked for correct installation.

REMOVAL
WARNING: RELEASE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE BEFORE DISCONNECTING QUICK- CONNECT FITTINGS AT FUEL FILTER. REFER TO THE FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE PROCEDURE

Release fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Release Procedure in this section.
Disconnect quick-connect fittings from fuel filter. Refer to Fuel Tubes and Quick-Connect Fittings in this section.
Remove fuel filter mounting bracket. Remove filter.
INSTALLATION
The inlet and outlet sides of the filter are marked. Install the filter with the inlet side to the fuel tank.
Place fuel filter into bracket. Place bracket against frame rail. Tighten mounting screw to 12 N·m (110 in. lbs.) torque.
Apply a light coating of clean 30 weight engine oil to the fuel filter nipples. Install fuel tubes. Refer to Fuel Tubes and Quick-Connect Fittings in this section.
