Chrysler Repair: alternator: 2.5 V-6, chrysler seabring, pivot bolt

Question
whats the best way to remove an alternator 1997 2.5 liter chrysler seabring

Answer
Hi Dylan,
After disconnecting the - clamp from the battery, remove the other plugs/attachments from the alternator, then:
After removing the electricals,
remove top mounting ear bolt
loosen pivot bolt, but do not remove, be careful not to loose nut
loosen adjusting bolt on idler to allow removal of drive belt
remove pivot bolt, do not drop spacer
remove top mounted ear bolt
remove upper generator bracket
remove generator

This is the same in both the '96 and '98 manuals so it has to be the same for your '97
