Chrysler Repair: dodge hesitation, 4 digit numbers, chrysler owner

it started after i washed my engine it hesitate when i get to 2800 rpms and wont get any higher than that

Hi Ralph,
It may resolve itself as the moisture evaporates. But in the meantime, you could go to an Autozone parts store and ask for a free code readout for fault codes. Let me know what numbers they say they found and we can go from there. If that is not convenient then use your ignition key to get codes:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window to see if the mileage reading changes to show any 4-digit numbers preceded by a P. Let me know what they are. If that doesn't happen and if instead the check engine light started to flash,pause,flash etc. then do the key routine again and count the number of flashes before each pause, and let me know the flash counts.
Once you know a code it will them be possible for us to figure out what is wrong.
