Chrysler Repair: sebring overheating, head gasket leak, bottle history


Question
there is right when you first start it up but it only just started that when the weather got cold but the fans only come on when you got the air or heat on when it boils over i think it comes out the over flow bottle history on the car idk to much about i just bought it a few months ago after the car warms up it dont take that long to overheat but the car seems like its driving fine it just over heats somebody told me to jut take the thormostat out is it ok to drive it that way???

I answered your earlied question recently and found this one in the 'pool'. If it is going to the H fast, I wonder if you might have a clogged radiator. Another possibility is that you have a head gasket leak. Do you get alot of white smoke out the tail pipe when you start it from cold?
Another sign of such a leak would be an early sound of bubbling coming from the engine after you start it. That would be exhaust gas entering the cooling system through the leak and pressurizing it even before it has a chance to heat up. That would cause the expulsion from the overflow bottle pretty quick too. Those two possibilities are my thoughts since you did change the thermostat. When you put in the thermostat were you sure to put the air vent in so it was facing the front of the engine? That too could be a reason for the thermostat not to open if you didn't notice that air vent position.
