2005 Chevy HHR
Transmission won't shift out of second after being jumpstarted.
Goes in first, just won't shift out of second.

Hi Robert,
I don't specialize in Chevy's, but the similar situation in Chrysler calls is called 'limp-in mode and the trans computer does it when it senses a problem that if left unresolved will cause more damage. So get a fault code readout, for free at Autozone parts store, or for less than $40 at an independent shop to see what the code # is, what it means, what has to be fixed.
