Chrysler Repair: radiator drain cock broken, drain cock, screw extractor

I recently replaced the water pump on my 1997 t&c. In the process I must have turned the drain cock to far and broke it. My question is will I have to pull the radiator to fix the drain cock? P4eu4p art of it my still be in the drain opening.

Hi Steve,
That drain cock is a removable unit, though with the end broken off you may have to finagle it to remove it. The way it works is that when it reaches the end of the counter-clockwise rotation you then turn it back 1/8 turn and then pull it out entirely. You can get a new drain cock unit at a dealer and maybe at a professional parts store, but see if you can turn what is left of it back 1/8 turn and then somehow get a grip on it to pull it out. You might have to drill it and use a screw extractor to get a grip on it but if you can you won't have to get a new radiator. But when you pull be sure it is 1/8 turn back.
