Chrysler Repair: 91 3.3/3.8L serpentine belt: R&R, serpentine belt, power steering pump

well we had a bad snow storm recently and ice formed on my serpentin belt and when i went to start it the belt fell off i see how to put the belt back on but theres hoses in the way of the tensioner and there for cant put the belt all the way on please help???  please email me to thanx

Hi James,
You must have the 3.3 or 3.8 engine. On that set up, you need to gain access to the front of the engine by lifting up the front wheel, removing the wheel, and then removing the splash shield panel that separates the front of the engine from the wheel well. It has fasteners for removal purposes. Once you have that splash shield removed you rotate the belt tensioner (located between the power steering pump and the crankshaft) clockwise when you have put on the new belt and it is positioned on all the other pulleys you release the rotation and let it spring back into position.
