Chrysler Repair: low voltage in voyager, ameter, light flashes

Question
I ran out of follow up questions so had to start a new one.

Check engine light flashes; 3 4 7 5 5 the 3 must be something different because 34 is egr valve issue and there is no 75, they say that 55 signals end so the code must be 3, 47 (low alt voltage ) then 55 to end. You have to unmount the pcm to get at the plug I presume? The ameter seems to vary depending on battery charge. gauge was showing 10+v my volt meter showed alt at 10.47 battery was around 11v, I charged batery it tested at 12.35v started van and gauge was showing 12v. I didn't drive long enough to show any drop in the gauge.

Answer

Hi Terry,
The 3 is probably a 12 because that is saying the battery was disconnected recently. Yes, to check the wires you would want to remove the plug and measure at the pins of the plug. It is probably the case that the alternator is dead, but it would be prudent to check the two wires.
