Chrysler Repair: 2001 Town and Country power window, down position, warning light

Question
My driver side window went out in the down position. No problems before. Seems like a short or something. Passenger side works fine.

I do no know if this is applicable but my battery light came on while driving a week ago and after parking for a while in went out again. Related?

Answer
Hi Ron,
Did you get that power window to work? If you would like to reply there is a "Thank/rate the expert" button below/left which if you click will take you to page where you can "comment".
May I also ask a favor? On that same page you will see the question "Would you like to nominate this expert to be 'volunteer of the month"? If you will click on "Yes" to that question I would be very pleased.  I am competing for that recognition which is based on my receiving the most nominations from questioners like yourself.

Hi Ron,
The problem could be in the switch itself. The overall system is powered by a single circuit so it would have to be specific to the switch or the motor for that window. You can gently pry around the switch bezel to remove it, starting from the bottom and working your way up until it releases. There should be electical continuity between pins 11 and 8 when you request driver window up, with the plug removed from the switch. If you get that (having removed the plug from the switch to test it), then I would suspect the motor is stuck or gone bad. The driver down or xpress down continuity has to be tested with 12v being jumped to pin 9 and pin 13 jumped to ground (because you do this test with the harness unplugged) and you should find continuity between 11 and 6 when activating driver down, and driver xpress down.
Let me know if you need to remove the panel to get to the motor. I don't see any relationship between the battery warning light and the window problem.
