Chrysler Repair: Transmission Control Module fault, transmission control module, neutral safety switch

Question
Hi Kevin, concerning my Chrysler Neon 1995cc year 2002 4 speed Automatic. Im still getting the same problem regarding starting in any gear PRND31 and showing codes P0705 %26 P1899 which i know relate to the Transmission Range Sensor, which i have replaced and also replaced the wiring from the TRS to the PCM pin 76 and over to the Transmission Control Module. Yesterday 2 more codes came up P1784 & P0700 which i know relate to the TCM would it be a possibility that the TCM is non functional. Thanks Paul

Answer
Hi Paul,
Although not listed at top of the causes for codes 0705 and 1784, the possibility of a defective tcm is given for both of those codes. The 0705 and 1899 speak more toward the range sensor and the park/neutral safety switch. So the tcm is a possible malfunction, but I can't say how certain that it would be the cause.
