Chrysler Repair: electrical intermittents, battery clamps, power control module

ive got a 2005 2.5 crd voyager which when its running the lights flicker on tick over and it cuts out when driving the instrument cluster stops working also radio stops if you turn the lights off it seems to be alright it has had new battery alternator and power control module please can you help

Hi Mark,
This sounds like something which causes a 'common mode' failure, by which I mean lights, engine, instrument cluster, radio, simultaneously or in close proximaty failing. Because these devices are for the most part on separate circuits, I would look at the battery clamps to be sure that the interfaces are clean and shiny and tight, and also that the wire connections to these clamps are similarly and not corroded. Then follow each of the wires attacked to the -post clamp to its end 'ground' point and check that its attachment point is shiny and tightly connected. Any such bad ground connection can reduce the current carrying ability of the entire system or totally disconnect it momentarily or worse, permanently.
