Chrysler Repair: Stumbling on acceleration: Fuel Filter?, 4 digit numbers, egr valve

Question
I have a 2000 Town and Country 3.3L. When I accelerate fast the van misses/lurches for a moment. I presume it is not getting enough fuel through. I just had the fuel injectors flushed and it still does the same thing. Could it be the inline fuel filter? Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Hi Robert,
It could be, but there are many other possibilities that may cause this: egr hanging up slightly ajar, catalytic converter partially clogged, other parts that affect the mixture of fuel/air in the system. I would suggest that you first get a fault code readout for free at an Autozone parts store or for $40 or so at an independent shop. You might also try turning the ingnition key on-off-on-off-on and leave on, doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch for any 4-digit numbers to take the place of the mileage reading in tne odometer window. Let me know any 4-digit numbers you get, one way or another, which are fault codes that should give a clue as to the cause of your problem. If there are none, I would check the function of the egr valve which I can tell you about in a follow-up Q and A.
